Since coming online, the Dadin Kowa Hydropower Plant has contributed directly to the stability of Nigeria’s national grid. At full capacity the plant delivers 40MW of renewable power, with the potential to contribute 240,000 MWh annually — and our generation figures continue to grow year on year.

Creating jobs, attracting investment, and enabling industrial growth

Our investment in Dadin Kowa has created skilled employment for local professionals and supported supply chains across Gombe State. The ongoing 132kV Bay Extension to Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park is directly enabling industrial activity and expanding economic opportunity for businesses and communities in the region.

A 200MW solar expansion set to transform Gombe State

Our planned solar project, located 1.5km from the existing hydropower station, will be delivered in two phases — an initial 40MWac followed by a further 160MWac. This expansion will position Gombe State as a hub for renewable energy investment, creating jobs and strengthening Nigeria’s energy independence for decades to come.
