Bashir Sufyan is an accomplished specialist in energy, infrastructure, utilities regulation, and
law, with more than 30 years of experience. He built his core expertise in Nigeria’s power sector
and also had international internships in Argentina, Spain, the United States and the United
Kingdom.
His areas of expertise include procurement and regulatory frameworks, power-sector policy,
market design, project management, corporate restructuring and privatisation. He participated
and closed major multilateral-funded projects financed by the World Bank, African Development
Bank, European Union, United States Trade & Development Agency (USTDA), West African
Power Pool and ECOWAS.
