From Nigeria’s first independent hydropower concession to a 200MW solar expansion — Mabon is redefining what’s possible in renewable energy.
Mabon’s dedication goes beyond conventional energy sources. As sole concessioner and operator of the Dadin Kowa Hydroelectric Power Plant in Gombe State, we have harnessed a robust 40MW capacity, contributing 240,000 MWh annually to the national grid — with over 757,000 MWh generated since 2021. Our vision extends further still. We are developing a 200MW solar project located approximately 1.5km from Dadin Kowa — to be delivered in two phases — that will integrate seamlessly with the existing hydropower plant, enhance grid stability, create economic opportunity, and position Gombe State as a hub for clean energy investment. Our O&M partnership with POWERCHINA Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited ensures our assets are operated to the highest international standards.
