Since our inception in 1983, Mabon has evolved into a robust conglomerate with diversified interests encompassing seismic surveys, renewable energy, oil & gas exploration and production, specialised consultancy, asset and resource management, building and real estate development, and independent hydropower generation. Mabon/TGSI entered long term agreement with government to shoot non-exclusive data over the complete Nigerian offshore area starting with a 25,000 km seismic and grav/mag program

The first PSC agreement in Nigeria Deepwater started, with the allocation of over 6,000km2 acreage

First commercial oil discovery (Bonga Field), obtained through original Mabon Limited seismic data

Mabon Limited’s corporate headquarters are strategically situated in Victoria Island, Lagos, complemented by our prominent presence in Maitama, Abuja. Under the visionary guidance of our founder, Late Engineer Boniface Madubunyi MFR, Mabon has solidified its reputation as a trailblazer in the energy and infrastructure industry. With four decades of unparalleled expertise, Engineer Madubunyi spearheaded Mabon’s growth into a company renowned for executing large-scale, complex, and high-value international projects.

Mabon Limited is at the forefront of Nigeria’s energy transformation. Beyond our achievements in oil and gas exploration, we take a leading role in renewable energy through the Dadin Kowa Hydroelectric Power Plant. As the sole Concessioner and Operator, we have harnessed a robust 40MW capacity, poised to contribute 240,000 MWh annually to fortify the national grid. So far we have generated over 750,000,000 KWh.

Mabon Geosciences (MGS) is a trailblazer in geoscience exploration, boasting an extensive repository of nearly 100,000 kilometres of high-quality 2D seismic, gravity, and magnetic data offshore Nigeria. Our database extends from the onshore delta region to the deep offshore, covering water depths of up to 4,500 metres and offering imaging capabilities reaching as deep as 17,000 metres beneath the seabed. MGS sets new industry standards with unparalleled regional coverage and data quality, providing invaluable insights into every major discovery in the Nigerian Oil Sector.
